Liugong Green Corridor Pedestrian Environment Improvement Project
The project primarily involves the construction of a pedestrian passage across Fuxing South Road, elevating the southern section of Lane 135, Section 1 of Fuxing South Road, and connecting it to the central green corridor. The area is furnished with seating and street furniture to provide citizens with a comfortable space for leisure and recreation. Three mist-generating circular installations are installed to enhance the green environment, complemented by ripple-pattern lighting and mist facilities operating at night. The project continues the efforts of improving the pedestrian environment along Sections 1 to 3 of Zhongxiao East Road and aligns with the East District Revitalization Project. The core concept centers on creating a high-quality, people-oriented environment and connecting the green corridors of the Eastern District. The project targets the southern and northern sides of Lane 135, Section 1 of Fuxing South Road, including the central parking lot area. Through connecting the southern road section, adjusting the roadway cross-section layout, and reviewing existing facilities and accessibility, the project introduces a large-scale green plaza into the bustling commercial Eastern District. In addition to the use of permeable pavements and sunken green spaces, the design incorporates scenic lighting elements to evoke the historic image of the Liugong Canal, creating a pedestrian plaza that is people-centric, resilient, and intellectually engaging, thereby improving the overall pedestrian environment.
